Willem Treep graduated on the Master Economics, Development economics, Econometris and Marking at the Wageningen University. Then he made the necessary experience by working at big companies as Heineken and Unilever. After that he thinks it was time to establish his own company. Together with Drees Peter van den Bosch, the company Willem&Drees was founded in June 2009. First in the region around Amersfoort they started with supplying the potatoes, vegetables and fruits of farmers to local supermarkets. At this moment Willem&Drees are in the Netherlands the intermediary between farmers and supermarkets. There are at this moment approximately 70 growers and around the 200 stores in Central Holland who are working together by Willem&Drees.

Skal Biocontrole is the supervisor of organic production in the Netherlands. Skal monitors approximately 3400 diverse businesses: farms, food producers, importers, trading and storage companies.
